Paper Clips and Polarisation – This Time in Rybnik
On Tuesday, our game about polarization visited Rybnik. Dr Agata Komendant-Brodowska, at the invitation of Dr Ewa Wójcik from the University of Economics in Katowice – Rybnik Branch, conducted two workshops—one for UE students and another for high school students from the I LO im. Powstańców Śląskich in Rybnik.
The workshop participants took on the roles of Bridgestone residents; rulers and paper clips were used to observe opinion dynamics, and the game itself, which illustrates mechanisms related to polarization, also served as a starting point for discussion on the origins of social divisions and how they can be addressed.
We would like to thank you very much for the invitation, the warm welcome, and the organization of the workshops!
