Another Round of the Polarisation Game at the University of Tartu

Last week, Stefano Braghiroli and Anna Beitane piloted the Paperclip Game of Opinions at the Delta Management School of the University of Tartu. The workshop was conducted with students of quantitative economics. In total, 12 participants took part.

The session began with an introduction to the project by Anna Beitane, followed by a discussion on the meaning and impact of polarisation in complex democratic societies delivered by Stefano Braghiroli. Participants then engaged in three rounds of hands-on gameplay, demonstrating that polarisation is not only relevant for political scientists but also resonates strongly with students of quantitative economics.

The workshop concluded with a lively and insightful debriefing, highlighting the value of combining theory with interactive learning.
